This thread relates to my other one in the Telecom forum. That one was about a VDSL installation which has since been completed successfully. However I've got a couple of little niggles re-setting up my home network.
This is the router:

Network setup is:
One desktop, connected to router via Ethernet
Two laptops connected to router via Wifi
- With my last ADSL router (a Netcomm NB6Plus4Wn) I had port forwarding setup, so I could connect remotely to my desktop using TightVNC when not at home. That doesn't work as I need to re-setup port forwarding, but the instructions aren't overly helpful, and it looks nothing like the setup I had on my old router; I was planning on copying-and-pasting the settings but that won't work
- MAC filtering. On the ADSL router I had specific MAC addresses that were allowed to connect, and those ones only to prevent unauthorised usage on my network. With this one I have re-entered the MAC addresses. However when I enable the filtering, the laptops lose their internet access. They're still on the network, but can't browse any sites. With it disabled, internet browsing is restored. That one has me stumped - is there a tickbox maybe that I've missed?
Hopefully someone has a similar setup and has it working and can assist? Thanks in advance.
