hello, just a basic question here.
I am part of an Active Directory domain at work e.g. "mywork.local"
So when I logon at work is this how it works?:
- domain name "mywork" is resolved to an IP ?
- my computer logs on with the domain controller at that ip ?
My laptop only has one user logon account.
So how come when I log off, come home and my computer is disconnected from the internet, I can still log on again to my computer using that same domain user name?
I thought logon would fail due to my computer not being able to find the domain controller ?
Does it automatically fall back to a local worklstation logon if it cannot find the specified domain ?
Thanks for clarification.
