Like many people, I'm finding setting up my Nokia (6230) mobile's BT a 'tad' more annoying then I'd expected!

Anyway I've checked out the BT guides here and the one that takes you through the setup proceedure for the 3650 seems similar enough so thats what I'm using.

Right I'm using the Belkin BT adaptor which I've installed fine and I've installed Nokia's PC Suite too. The problem I'm finding is that I do NOT have the mrouter icon appearing in my system tray!?

Could someone please tell why this is and how I can get it loaded!? The stupid thing is it appeared before when I first installed PC Suite but since then I uninstalled and reinstalled and now its not appearing?

Any help very much appreciated!

Jim.

Come on guys anyone know how I can clear this problem up??

I'm desperate here! :(

If possible I'd also love someone to explain the difference between 'local services' and 'client applications' in the Bluetooth Configuration menu?? I know it gives a short explanation in the menu itself but I really don't understand exactly what each one means and more importantly DOES? :( Also should the com port settings be the same in both or different?

The local services are the profiles that will accept incoming connections, i.e., from other devices to your computer.

OTOH, the Client are the profiles that your computer will use when connecting to other devices.

For example your computer will use a client COM port to talk to a Bluetooth GPS, because the connection is initiated from your computer. And mRouter will receive incoming connections on the COM port defined on local services.

Great thanks for clearing that up freitasm.

I'm glad you answered as, from looking at previous posts, you really seem to know your stuff on all this!

Do you have any idea why I'm not getting the mrouter icon appearing or loading up? Is there a individual mrouter program I can run or something? Like I mentioned, I did originally see it but since I uninstalled then reinstalled PC Suite, it no longer appears????

Im really lost here! :(

There's a mRouter program that is launched at startup. If use Startup Manager you'll be able to see all programs that start run your computer boots. If the mRouter is not there, then you may have a faulty installation.

If the program is there, then perhaps you have it set to hide the icon?

I may be doing something wrong but I can't find this startup manager you mention?
When I click on your link it just takes me to the geekzone homepage??

I've done a search on the web but there seems to be many programs with that name?

What is this program and where can I get it?
