Hi,
I would like to synchronise with my computer using a bluetooth access point. Is this possible? it doesn't work here... With WiFi it works... Why doesn't it work with bluetooth?
I can't make the access point a ActiveSync partner.
I'm using teh ipaq 3970 and DBT-900AP (d-link access point).

Can someone help me?
Thanks!

it works fine. I have a DBT-900AP connected to a netgear router.I have a Pocket Loox. Normally I use the bluetooth internet-connection (not the activesync), then I can start activesync on my loox - and it works. Check your ActiveSync-preferences on your PPC - connection over lan should be enabled.
good luck

do you use a router? Only the bluetooth-AP is not enough. The router should be configured as a DHCP-Server. The router is linked to:
- my desktop (192.168.0.3/255.255.255.0)
- my notebook (192.168.0.5/255.255.255.0)
- the DBT-900 AP ------------bluetooth---------pocket loox (192.168.0.4/255.255.255.0)

If you search for BT-Devices with your PPC, you get the DBT-900AP. He offers two connections, internet and activesync.
Do not use the activesync-connection, it works simple with the internet-connection. If you start this, you get a window on your PPC: connect with internet / work. Use internet.

If connected you can start activesync on your PPC. Choose the right desktop under extras/option/remotesynchronisation with:

...and finally tip on: synchronize

have fun...
