Is there anyway I can transfer single files via BT to AND from my Clie TH55 to my desktop?

You can transfer files to the Sony Clie via Bluetooth. Open My Bluetooth Places, find the icon corresponding to your device and double-click it, to make the Bluetooth software search for services. You'll see a File Transfer icon. Drag and drop a file to that icon (or right-click and select Send to Bluetooth). The file will be received on your Sony Clie and a question will pop up "Do you want to accept this file", like it would with an infrared beam.

Thanks. have tried the send option but desktop reports that it can't connect. The TH55 does bleep and bluetooth light comes on for a few seconds then goes off. All other functions of bluetooth are ok. I can HotSync no problem and I use Netfront via my desktop connection, again no problem. I even have a program called Win-Hand Server from which I can remotely control the desktop via bluetooth if I want to.

Perhaps you have to set the Prefs to accept Incoming Beam?

Also, double-click the TH55 icon is important, to find out what services are available. After that it should be ok to use the Send To option.

On your Bluetooth configuration check that the File Transfer service is shown as "Started". Otherwise change it to "Auto Startup".
