Is there a correct orientation for a Bluetooh dongle on the end of a USB cable?

I currently have it coming out the back of the PC, up onto the desktop and lying flat. I know WiFi has the "donut" ring signal, and I'm wondering if the same thing could apply to bluetooth?

"He's sick today!"

No joking, I think the best dongles are the ones with a "tail", like TDK and some Bluetake models. This way you can position it on top of your monitor or LCD (laptop) to get better reception.

As for position... Never heard of this being something essential to worry about.

hehe, "Save Ferris Bueller"

I've read that some people have managed to extend the range by putting a metal reflector behind it.

The PC is actually in a prime reflective corner so I might just get a longer USB cable and hang it up in the corner. Might help.

I actually have my TDK connected through a 3.5 metres USB lead with builtin repeater. This way I have it closer to the door, and from this position it covers the whole lounge and other bedroom...
