Well, I really am at the end of my gadget-loving tether! I can connect to my PC via Bluetooth; I have the same COM port (COM 6) selected through both ActiveSync and Bluetooth configuration. I have scoured everything I can find on the internet and nothing seems to work. The only thing which seems to be different on my system to the screenshots online is that, when I go into Activesync and select the COM port I need, the message underneath reads, 'COM port is not available'.

In case this is relevant, when I try to connect from my iPaq it begins to connect, and ActiveSync initialises, but then I get an error message reading:
'Communications Error
Cannot start communications with the desktop computer. Remote networking could not start due to a critical error (Error 649)'.

If anyone has even the faintest idea then PLEASE let me know; I'm beginning to feel like the biggest imbecile around!!

Cheers,

Dan

I have same problem. There is help at www.jonscaife.com/bt.driver.html

Good luck. Sony does not want you to use another Pocket PC but theirs!
