Hi folks,

I have a TP-Link MR3020 which I have installed OpenWRT onto - the basic install has pretty much used up all of the available space. I've managed to install block-mount (as I figure it will be required).

Does anyone know how to add an unformatted (well its FAT3) 4GB USB drive.  I've looked around at the documentation but cant find anything relevant configuring the USB drive in the first place (I need it set up with two partitions Ext4 and Swap so I can create an overlay drive).  I don't have access to a Linux box.

It isn't hard, instructions here.  But looking at a picture of a router I'd suspect the USB won't support storage.

thanks for your reply. i read those instructions and I don't think they actually work. There appear to be too many assumptions in them such as "obtain usb support" and "it should work". what i want to know is how to test that it is working and how to correctly set up the usb drive.

I think you're trying to prove the wrong thing.  I think you need to track down more details on the USB port on the router.  You have no idea whether the host controller supports storage.
