Hi All! If I have a Class 2 (10 meters) type Bluetooth PDA (iPaq H2210) and have a USB Bluetooth dongle that is Class 1 (100 meters). What's the theoretical maximum distance between the two while still connecting?
Most places I've looked, folks seem to think that it will only be 10 meters, but there's usually someone challenging this with a "are you sure?", no real conclusions there.

Anybody know for sure? It would seem to me that the 100-meter device would be able to broadcast/pick-up from a 10-meter device within the 100-meter range, but maybe that's just wishful thinking?? :)

Thanks! -- Mike

The shortest one will be the maximum range. In theory Class 2 devices are certified for 10m, but sometimes you can get 12m or 15m. YMMV of course depending on environmental conditions.
