Hey there,

Aparently i'm too far away from the exchange to get Jetstream from telecom, however just one kilometer away, my mate is able to get access to ADSL as they have an exchange quite close. What i'd like to do is set up a connection between the two houses and share the ADSL connection. I know this can be done. The only problem i see is that it will not be line of sight. There are heaps of houses in the direct path between our houses.

Any ideas how we could connect these two computers up. I know we'd have to use some big antennas etc. Just don't know where to start really. Any help to put me on the right path would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Jeremy

I had no idea Whoosh existed. It sounds pretty cool. But unfortunately they are not in Feilding yet and won't be for about another year apparently.

Man Telecom pisses me off!! After all that, we've now found out that we can get Jetstream here and we've had it installed. They got a blowing up though. That's all i'm gonna say about that. Those articles i had a breif look at and i actually would probably consider still doing wifi to my mates house just for a project. It'd be primo.

Oh and the cool thing is that we happen to have a sky dish sitting up on our roof already and it isn't being used at all. So might be able to use that somehow.

Cheers for those links by the way - very cool!!
