OK - hoping some of you out there can explain this to me in basic terms. I have searched and tried different options but still cannot seem to get any internet access on a new TL-WDR3600 (TP-Link).
So the story goes like this: I wanted to use DD-WRT to bypass Netflix DNS lookup due to reading Unotelly support saying that Chromecast is no longer supported without DD-WRT. Unfortunately I did no realise until getting it delivered today that the TL-WDR3600 is a router only and has no modem.
This means that I am trying to work out how to have it as my main wi-fi running DD-WRT through a TP-LINK TD-W8960N (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=66&topicid=136748) I tried running through what this user had done, but in laymens terms it didn't work out.
I have set the TP-LINK TD-W8960N to bridge but still the new router offers me no connectivity.
I am with Slingshot.
Can anyone out there offer me a simple 'how to' or know where I can get hold of one that will explain how to create a way to run the TP-LINK TD-W8960N as just a link to the Internet and the 3600 as a wireless router for my home?
Any tips would be much appreciated.
