Bit of a life story. We were replacing a 10m ethernet cable for a 15 and adding a 25m to go from the modem in our lounge under the house to 2 different rooms. I decided to clean up the cables some and the ONT got knocked off the screws it was on. It didn't it the floor or anything and is only like 5 cms from the ground.
I don't remember dropping the modem but it is possible.
After this the net started dropping every 3-10mintues constantly. I called spark and they thought it was the ONT and said they'd send out the fibre company. I eventually deduced that the problem was most likely the modem. I found that when the WiFi was turned off the net worked fine with no issue however once WiFi was turned on it went back to disconnecting. Computers that were previously on WiFi work fine on cable so it can't be that there was congestion or anything seeing as it worked since we got it in any way.
So is this the result of a faulty modem?
