hi,

I found this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892510#appliesto) and I met this kind of problem while communicate with the bluetooth printer. The problem for now is how to update the winCE platform as it require the platform builder. What is platform builder and is it free? where can I get it? Thsnk for help

I think this is continuation of your previous topic - please keep all in one discussion so people can understand your questions. For example, in your previous topic you mention HP iPaq.

HP iPaq runs Windows Mobile, which is not the same as Windows CE. Platform Builder is used on Windows CE, while for Windows Mobile this type of tool is only available for the manufacturers.

hi,
    Does it have any other way for us to update the the WINCE.NET on the device as what have you said that platform builder only manufacturer own. The file extension is .msi and actually I not quite sure how the update to work.

Windows CE is not the same as Windows Mobile. They share some code but they are different things...

The KB you mention is not for Windows Mobile.

Hi,

    Ya that two isdiferent thing. I now using WIN CE.NET. forget the window mobile! I not using the window mobile. I using WINCE.NET on my previous mention device. I want to update the WIN CE.NET 4.2 and the file location have been mention previously. So, is it have way to update the WINCE.NET.

As an end user you can only update the drivers with whatever the manufacturer makes available to you.
