Hi All,

I have just brought a laptop with wifi, which runs XP Pro. I have a desktop which runs on Xp home. The Desktop pc is connected to a belkin wifi router, through an ethernet cable. My laptop connects to the router through wifi. I can go on the internet over wifi, but cannot seem to share files and printer between the 2 computers over the wifi router. Could someone please tell and show me how to file and printer share over a wireless router.

Cheers

Should be simple.

Set the workgroups to be the same as each other ('WORKGROUP' or 'MSHOME')
Enable sharing on the resources you want
Connect / browse from the other machine

Where are you getting stuck?

Do a search on MS site for this:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4f01a31d-ee46-481e-ba11-37f485fa34ea&DisplayLang=en

WindowsXP-KB922120-v5-x86-ENU.exe

I went through similar problem but this installed on XP machines allow it to be seen by Vista so you can transfer files.

HTH
