Recently I have switched to fiber. The package I choose is 100/20. At first I only get 30/20 on speed test. After investigation I find out if I disconnect my NAS I will get the 100/20 speed. What cause my NAS slow down my speed? Is that my NAS, cable, router or something else?

Does your NAS have a gigabit port?
Do you have a gigabit router?
Please give specific details of your LAN setup - otherwise - garbage in, garbage out.

My NAS is a Synology DS213 and my router is the Fritzbox 7490. An external printer and hard drive is connected to the NAS through USB.

so the NAS pugs directly into the fritzbox by ethernet cable or through any switch or whatever?

Are you running any syncing or torrenting software on your NAS?? Is it possible when your NAS is connected to the internet it is consuming all of that bandwidth you are missing??

To be certain of this enable and setup the firewall feature on your NAS. The Synology firewalls are fairly straight forward to setup. I have used these NAS boxes at work and home and have never seen the issue you describe.

To be certain of this enable and setup the firewall feature on your NAS. The Synology firewalls are fairly straight forward to setup. I have used these NAS boxes at work and home and have never seen the issue you describe.

It almost sounds like an autosense issue. I haven't played with either of those devices. Is it possible to manually configure the ports on both sides?
