I have an Acer laptop running Windows Vista basic. I have a BT USB dongle attached that has been running fine.
The other day I came across a BT update for my model laptop on the Acer site so installed it. Installation did not proceed properly and I ended up doing a roll-back to the previous day. However, my BT is now screwed up somewhat.
Now, every time I start the computer, Windows tries and fails to install drivers for the following devices.......
Blue Tooth Hands Free Audio
Blue Tooth Stereo Audio
Blue Toothe Hands Free Audio (repeat I know)
Blue Tooth Remote Control
etc, just keeps repeating itself.
If I go to device manager, these devices are listed under Other Devices and Device Manager keeps refreshing itself evey few seconds. If I uninstall the device by right-clicking etc it just comes back again.
Any help please?

What were you trying to fix with the update?

Fix? Nothing, just keeping things up to date.
