As per the title, my DV130 has begun rebooting of its own accord. I'm on BigPipe VDSL and the sync hasn't changed - still around the 30/10 mark. I just did it again and when I logged in to the GUI I noticed it wasn't a dropped connection but a full on reboot. When I first started using it pretty much the only time the connection dropped was when initiated by me with a reboot.

It seems to me it's dieing but it's only 14 months old!

A couple of times I've noticed that the LAN LED has been fixed on when it's normally flashing to indicate traffic and off to indicate no traffic.

Perhaps re-flash the firmware, ideally not keeping the configuration (i.e. a complete factory reset).

We use these and other Draytek devices extensively and have never seen this behaviour.

It hasn't dropped for 18 hours (when I reflashed the firmware) but, next time it does, I will - it's marked as a 7.5-12V input and I've got plenty of 12V ones with various adapters leads. Why didn't I think of that obvious possibility??

165 hours without a reboot or dropped connection I think we can call that re-flash and reset of the firmware a solution.

Yes, it's gone some way to restoring my faith in Draytek too which was admittedly already a little shattered before this started happening. After I first got the DV130 and spent hours trying to set it up for VDSL in bridge mode only to find that there was a problem with the firmware it shipped with that was the problem.

Sooooo... the 7.5VDC power supply that it came with just sucked the kumara. Internet connection dropped, couldn't login to the modem GUI, did a factory reset thinking bad firmware again - but that didn't solve the problem - I still couldn't access the GUI. Then I noticed a high pitched squeal from the power supply.

Not a good look. Fortunately the DV130 will accept 7.5VDC-12VDC and I hoarded plenty in that range. But none had a 2.5mm socket for the +VE pin. Luckily I scavenged one of these off an external drive in the interim.

Hopefully just the power adapter. Generally speaking, I think these devices are pretty decent. I'm running 3.7.5 firmware, and has been perfect. I know there is a later firmware out, but no reason to upgrade at this stage.

My DV130 is rock solid. It hasn't been turned off, rebooted, or lost connection since I moved in.

I think I better have a replacement handy...

Yeah, I saw 1200+ hours between disconnects initially (from Jan 2014).

If it's one of these I would say that's probably a wise move.

I just replaced my DV130 power supply because it started to sqeal (after a power cycle).
Probably just a loose trans or something, but very annoying.

I'm always highly suspicious in these sorts of circumstances of dodgy cheap wall-wart power bricks (cheap and cheerfuls as they are) and/or dodgy capacitors in the device itself. High pitched, almost ultrasonic whines are pretty pathognemonic of dying power supplies or caps.
