Hi folks, i've seen a few posts about this (all locked now) but can't seem to solve mine.

Trying to port forward for Plex Media Server and not having any luck.

Have set the IP on the server to 192.168.1.10 (static)

Gone into the Port Mapping section in the router interface and set it up as instructed

Protocol TCP/UDP (have tried all options)
Ext start port 32400
Ext end port 32400
Internal host 192.168.1.10
Internal port 32400

Have tried a different port as well. Also tried putting in my external IP address into remote host (not on a static WAN IP though so this would change eventually)

canyouseeme.org tells me it can't, connection timed out no matter what I do.

Have disabled AV software with no joy.

Any ideas?

Why not let Plex do it itself via upnp?

Other wise apart from the interface on the router, what you're posted for settings looks correct.

Doesn't work? Left it alone and the server setup said it couldn't see it from outside the network and to set up port forwarding

UPNP is a risk and should be disabled.

If you run a port scan util on your local network does your server respond on the port that you are forwarding?

I believe I have the same problem with my HG630b.

To me it appears it won't forward on incoming ports higher than 1024.

If you can, try a source port less than 1024, you can probably leave the destination port the same. That worked for me.

Just to clarify, it worked for me in regards to port forwarding, it was done for purposes other than for Plex. (edited to add this)

I had issues manually specifying port forwards for plex also on my pfsense box.

Enable Upnp and let plex handle it port forwards (same exact port number) and it works flawlessly.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar! Changed the port to a sub 1024 value and it worked a charm, thank you very muchly!!

Glad it worked for you too.

I wonder if it is worth mentioning this to our ISP's (mine is Spark) and/or Huawei? It seems like a bug (or at best a "feature") to me.

I set up port forwarding for Plex following this thread about a month ago and it has been working great, but today it has stopped working and the error I get is "connected timed out" when it tries to access the port. Does anyone know how to fix this? My internet is working fine otherwise.

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it. My IPv4 address had changed slightly without me noticing it.
