I've searched and googled and searched again to try and find answers to my problem.
I recently bought myself my new computer, please see my specs in my signature. And have been having network problems intermittently since.
There are two computers connected to a DSE 5port Qos Switch, that is then connected to our DSL-502T TXv.A5 router provided by XTRA.
The firmware of the router has been updated to the current version provided by XTRA.
My computer runs Vista Home Premium and my partners computer runs XP. He is not experiencing any network timeouts, it is just my machine.
When I can't access a webpage or Skype, I check my network connection and there is still data being sent and received. Which is weird.
Now I can be connected from as little as 10 mintues to as long as 4 -6 hours without having this timeout(?) problem.
I have rolled back my driver to the windows one instead of the NVIDIA networking controller drivers and for a while I thought that fixed the problem. Alas no.
I have also disabled Vista's auto tuning feature. Does not seem to have corrected my problem.
I have also unchecked IPv6 in my network properties, that does not seem to have corrected my problem.
Here is my ipconfig results.

I also don't know how to interpret the network events in the event thingy, but there appears to be a couple of yellow exclamation marks which point to DCHP errors. Will find out how to copy this data to provide here.
I am at a loss as to what to do now, I will be contacting my vendor if I can't find the solution myself. My machine was custom built to my specs.
If anyone else has experienced the same or similar and have fixed it, it would be good to hear from you.
I also know that there is a Vista SP update coming very soon as well, so I dunno if that will fix any problems when that is available.
I look forward to hearing your feedback.
Regards
Angela
