Hi there, I am thinking of moving from Naked VDSL to VDSL & Phone line.
We only have an ADSL master filter installed, will I need a new filter and jack point to get the best speeds

Do you have an ADSL master filter or an ADSL inline filter? (i.e. one you plug in)

Generally if you have to ask, then the answer is probably yes you need one :)

EDIT: Hmmm, seems I didn't read the OP closely enough! If you already have VDSL and a master filter then I'd guess it's a VDSL filter?   I would tend to agree with NonprayingMantis though, going to VDSL + Phoneline would seem like a step backwards. I'd go for a VOIP solution over that...

If you want to use a phoneline (as in, PSTN copper, not VOIP)  then yes you need a master filter.

Question is: why would you move from naked to bundled with copper? Seems like a crazy move.

Depends on the ADSL master filter currently installed. If done recently, (and has three pairs - green/orange/blue) it will be VDSL rated, and no change needed. If it is one of the older 2 pair filters (orange, blue) then it will need to be replaced.

Me and my Wife had VDSL in our old home, The Router we received with our VDSL Package had Telephone Ports on the back of our router. Phone line was Crisp so looks like i guess my Router had an inbuilt Filter ?
