Heya,

I'm currently having issues with our Wi-Fi at home dropping out often. I've done all the usual checks etc, called Spark, had line tests done, monitored our line for 24 hours etc and still no joy so I'm going to try another Modem.

Now I don't want to resign with Spark for another 12 months to get a free modem so have a couple offered to me from a friend. My current modem BTW is the Telecom 2Wire.

The two I have been offered is the Vodafone Home Gateway SHG1500 or the Spark HG630b.

So which one do you recommend. I've search for reviews etc and I'm thinking the HG630b but would appreciate your input.

TIA

You mentioned your WiFi dropping out. Then in your next sentence you mentioned line tests etc. So which is it? Do you need WiFi help or do you need DSL help?

And by the way, both modems you mentioned are those 'free' modems from ISPs, don't expect too much from either.
