Hi everyone.

I just got today a TP-Link Archer C7. I have been having some trouble configuring it. Apparently it doesn't have a VLAN tagging feature built into it, so it won't work with Spark Fiber. I have (of course) the White Chorus box that connects the street to the box, and then to the Spark default router. My Spark router has been having some issues with WiFi, such as cutting out, and disconnecting devices, so I bought a new one. This new one doesn't want to work with Spark Fiber. If there is anything I can do to fix the VLAN tagging issue that would be great, otherwise I am going to return the TP-Link router and buy another one with VLAN tagging. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I've had quite a stressful afternoon trying to sort this all out.

if it doesnt support it it doesnt support it. take it back.

Instead of buying a new router / AP did you check for WiFi interference that could be causing the WiFi disconnects?

The Spark provided AP's for UFB work fine HG630b and the white Chorus box is called a ' ONT ' = Optical Network Terminal

Bye your self a plain "access point" that can plug into the existing wired network to give you WiFi coverage. Note that if the existing WiFi unit is poor you may need to disable it otherwise your devices could continue to connect to it (or use a new SSID I guess).

The WiFi devices have something called MIMO. 2x2 is the minimum you want. 3x3 is better. 4x4 is excellent. Basically when comparing the options, get the one with the highest MIMO numbers that you can afford. If a unit doesn't give it's MIMO numbers it is usually because they are poor and they don't want to advertise that it is a poor unit.

If you really want to use that router, you can switch to an ISP that doesn't require VLAN tagging.

I believe Bigpipe and MyRepublic both operate this way.
