Hi all.

I am wondering if anyone has any tips on removing keystone jacks from faceplates.

I have tried a small flat head screwdriver but had no luck.

Is there a tool available?

What brand?

All the major brands all have tools for removing them.

PDL plates are easily removed with a small flat head.

Clipsal (Schneider) are quite a lot harder to remove but just some gentle pressure around each corner with a flat head does it.

The faceplates are clipsal.

I will keep trying, thanks for the tips and I will see if clipsal have a removal tool if I have no luck

I'm quite sure you won't find a removal tool. You will find specific applicator tools.

However, if you find a tool I will feel very very stupid as I removed a hell of a lot them the hard way Haha.

Theres no need for tools to remove keystone jacks, you do need a tool to remove the insert/clip from the plate itself. To remove the jack, you pull the jack towards the spring-clip side and it should pop out of the other side. To put it back in its opposite: spring-clip side goes in last.

Modclip jacks are more challenging to get out... especially the clipsal ones always break their tiny clip off.

Time to find a new industry!
