Hi guys
i've desktop pc (win xp sp2) which i want to bluetooth enable. i got nokia n95 which i want to use with my pc. there is usb cable but want to use bluetooth.

btw i bought USB bluetooth dongle on trademe but cant get it to work. it says license expired !!!
any suggestions here ? or what do you use if you want to setup bluetooth on ur pc ? please let me know. thanks.

Get a Bluetooth Dongle and connect to pc. it works well

thanks for the reply. yes thats what i did. my mobile finds PC fine but as you know you'll need to enter pass code right,i dont get any screen on PC to enter passcode!
any ideas ?

"License expired" means the software sent with that dongle is a dud.

Your option is to use it with the native Windows stack - simply unplug the device, uninstall the software, restart the PC and plug the device again. This should initiate the native Microsoft software. Then you should see a Bluetooth icon in the Control Panel.

i was struggling for last couple of months.

btw now i can send files from PC to phone but for some reason i cant pair them from phone ! any ideas ?

You didn't ask before...

Check the Bluetooth configuration, somewhere there's an option to receive files on your PC that must be turned on. Also not every mobile phone supports file transfers in both ways...

never mind,got it working. seems it only works if i set Pass key only. Thanks again.

i still have one problem mate, i can send files from PC to phone but not other way around. Yes i went to bluetooth settings on my pc and clicked receive a file but my phone kept saying unable to connect.
any ideas much appreciated.
