iPaq 1945
Had some initial issues getting it to work, but finally it started working great.
All the sudden it quit working. No settings changed that I can think of.
It was giving me a timeout issue on the activesync, now (it has since done a hard reset - thanks HP...) it's saying it can't recognize it.
I have my NIC shared that's connected to my DSL modem, my bluetooth dongle set at 192.168.0.1:255.255.255.0 and entered my DNS servers. Can't ping IPs or addresses, or anything.
Totally lost as to what happened. It did happen shortly after installing my Terminal Services.
The first try didn't work, but then i ran across the suggestion to uninstall it and reinstall it using the cable to sync instead of BT. Did that and worked great, so don't think that's what happened...

Do you have a personal firewall on this machine?

Yes, ZA. Everything is set to medium. Besides, no changes to the firewall were made when it quit working...
Activesync does see it trying to connect, but just times out - "Cannot connect to the device for one of two reasons..."

And ActiveSync works fine over USB in this case? The strange thing is both Bluetooth functions stop working. If it was just LAN or just ActiveSync, then it could be one configuration or the other. Unless both have changed.

Can you test with Zone Alarm disabled? Are you running Windows XP? If yes, you can use the Windows internal firewall (right-click the connection properties and change to Advanced tab).
