Hello,
Does anyone have a decently working config with a Skypeout, using a BT headset ?
I'm using a DLink DBT 120 with a HBH-35 headset, using the widcomm 1.4.2.6 drivers on a AMD XP1900 with 512 RAM with XP Pro.
The sound I'm hearing is acceptable at best but the other person hears a chopped up horrible voice and this cannot be used for skypeout or skype.
My question is : how can I use a bluetooth headset with skype ?
Thanks

Fred André

The problem is not with Skype - or other product. he Bluetooth sound is very affected by your computer's performance. If the CPU is beyond the 90% it could result in this kind of problem. Also, make sure you don't have Gain set on your Audio properties.

CPU is never in the 90% zone. Where do I find this gain setting ?

When I record my own voice using the sound recorder I can hear my voice way too fast, to it must be related to some recording speed problem ?

Ok I've read several posts on this speed problem and it seems to be related to the 1.4.1.6 and windows XP, which is the config I'm using.
So upgrading to 1.4.2.10a should correct the problem, right ?

As I already had to go through a tedious process to upgrade to 1.4.1.6, I'd like to do the upgrade as "smoothly" as possible. Any ideas Mauricio ? I'm using the DBT-120 B3 on XP Pro.

Thanks

Of course, you can use SKYPE using a Bluetooth Headset. I'd prefer to buy A SPECIAL HEADSET THAT SUPPORTS NOISE CANCELLING TECHNOLOGY. I am using Skype 1.0 at my office and to my Home using WIDCOM 1.4.3

IF you have the correct drivers, upgrading should be easy as just installing again. It'll remove the previous version and install the update.

So I don't need to uninstall the previous drivers first ?

It will ask you to do so as part of the install routine.
