Hey guys I'm having trouble getting the ap ac pro up and running. I'm running the latest server software and firmware but for the life of me I can't get it up and running.

It's configured with everything set to auto pretty much. The ssid is the same as the ap lr that is in the garage. The cat 6 cables are known to be good.

When the unit is plugged in it eventually boots up with the solid blue light but no network is being broadcast from it. I've unplugged the ap lr in the garage to check.

I've done multiple resets on it, created a new wan and tried enabling the new wan on the apacpro with the old wan disabled while at the same time enabling and disabling the reverse on the ap lr and the ap lr had been fine but still nothing from the ap ac pro.

I've also tried upgrading to beta firmware with no luck either.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have a fixed IP address on your controller PC?  It matters.

Try temporarily disabling your firewall when running the controller/setup software.

Factory reset the WAP.

Try connecting a PC (with a fixed IP) directly to the WAP (ethernet via the power injector).

Disable the PCs firewall.

Run the installer/controller software on the PC.

In the controller software, under Devices, does Status show "Connected"?

Do your Connected settings look like this? :

If so you should be broadcasting with both wireless n and wireless ac.

I'll try and return it this morning and get it swapped over. Anyone have any experience returning stuff to pbtech?

Return to PB tech is a piece of cake IMO, compared to some of the other computer retailers.

Just be sure to take _everything_ that came in the box back to them.

I have recently swapped Ubiquiti gear (in mint condition in original packaging) at PBTech (Wellington) with no problems or push-back.

Actually that reminds me I need to get onto them about 1 of the AC pro's I got that will not power from a standard gigabit poe switch and only works with an old 100 megabit one.

"The nice thing about standards is there are so many to choose from."  You'll likely need to read the fine print on the PoE standards involved on each of the 3 PoE devices you have.
