Does anyone know how or where to get updated firmware for the NFV4? I have two surface pro 4s I'm setting up for a client and both won't connect to their NFV4 modem, they connect to my iPhone and other ap's perfectly fine. The password is correct. The NFV4 is oem not isp supplied, purchased from pbtech. It's not the first time I've seen issues like this with this particular modem, I'm thinking I might push a replacement different brand modem. The surface pro is also up to date, drivers etc...

I am not a fan of the Netcomm modems, issues never get fixed.

Just an idea but how about trying a different channel on the wifi and seeing if that fixes it

Yeah check it's not on channel 12 or 13. That may be the issue...

Not exactly answering the original query, but what security are you using? Do they connect if you turn security off? I've seen a Surface have an issue with TKIP. I've also had a particularly gnarly one where the router would accept a password being set that included symbol characters, but wouldn't let you connect ("incorrect password") when you tried to enter it. It only worked with a a-z 1-0 password, though it didn't tell you that anywhere.

I disabled security and it connected but was intermittent.  The password consists of numbers and uppercase letters, also tried a combination of mixed WPA/WPA2, mandating it to WPA2, tkip+aes and aes only, all make no difference. The surface pro's are installing updates etc... one of the updates is for the wifi adapter so will see what happens.

Edit: I eventually found the NF4V firmware buried away on the netcomm website and the modem is already at the latest version.
