Hi,

Just bought a new HP laptop with windows 10. Nice machine 16gb ram, 2tb hdd, touch screen and reasonably quick. The problem I'm having is I use Vuze as a download program and have their remote on my phone to keep things in check. I cant access my computer unless I'm on my own wifi as soon as I leave home It says the program isn't running. I never had this problem in 8.1 I'm just not sure where to go and what to do.

Matt

I have never used Vuze but sounds like it could be the firewall on the machine or maybe the port has not been setup on the modem/router for the ip address of the laptop.

You have to configure your app to access your home network via your external IP address and port forward to your PC.

I recommend you don't do it. Malware scans the Internet all the time and once an open port/forward is found then it's easy to try and find a Vuze vulnerability to exploit - for example someone could use CVE-2008-6587 and take over your PC and Internet connection.

Moved to appropriate forum as this is not a Windows problem.
