Running IntelPROsetWireless 2200BG on my Dell Inspiron6000 laptop just fine until i installed this little 355 BT 'radio' and loaded the software from the install CD. had to sys restore 3 times already and remove the little sucker just to get back on the internet to get help.
each time i install the software (after the hardware, per the instructions) my wireless internet connection somehow 'goes out of range' after a few minutes and then loses sight of any available networks, including mine that is running on a Netgear unit on my desktop pc. I will be surfing along when oops, we no longer are connected to my WiFi network and have to search for a new one. Everything remains fine on that desktop pc all the while. like it doesn't even care. anyway, i tried getting help from Dell (what a joke) so now i am left to my own devices... tried using my brain, but apparently am not WiFi/Bluetooth savvy. Device manager says everything is fine when i have the BT hw and software installed, but then the wireless dies. anyone have any suggestions?
btw, i am doing all this (2 days running) just to be able to use my Sony BT headset with my laptop so i don't have to plug in wired earphones... which actually worked- but the price i have to pay is my wireless connection getting hijacked and crashed. hmmm.
so now i am at square one again, thanks to system restore. If anyone can help me get this Bluetooth adapter to work without crashing my WiFi, I would greatly appreciate it.
