OK..I have followed every post here to work on my problem and to no avail.  What really irritates me is that everything was working fine up to 2 weeks ago when I switched jobs..(have no idea what happened). Anyway here are the tools

T-mobile MDA
Zoom 4312 bluetooth card
ActiveSYnc 4.12
Toshiba A105-s

I have unpaired, re-paired, deleted port, added ports you name it.  I have had the activesync icon spinning and no final connection.  Where I think the problem is that I can never get activesync to show as a service on the MDA...all I get is serial service.  Also, where do the ports get assigned  "Local Services" or "Client Application"?

HELP!

If you don't already have one, you need to define an incoming COM port on your PC - this is a "server" , "incoming" or "local service" port.

Once you have created the COM port right-click the AcitveSync icon in the system tray, select Connection Settings and make sure it's set to use this COM port.

On your Pocket PC delete the existing pairing and create a new one.

If your MDA is running Windows Mobile 5 or newer it should automatically try to connect to ActiveSync on your PC - this is when you see the ActiveSync icon spinning during the Bluetooth pairing. After this it should show "ActiveSync" instead of "Serial".

You asked on a private message:

Where do I create the port...via the device manager or by right clicking the bluettooth icon in the system tray which takes me to "advanced config" where is can select local service and add ports or client applications where i can add ports?

Right-click the Bluetooth Manager, select Local Service and Add ports - only if there isn't one there. If you find one there already use it when configuring ActiveSync Connection Manager.
