Hi,

As subject says, I have the asus dsl-ac68u.  I have the latest firmware and it is meant to support nz fibre.  I have tried a lot of settings but can't get it to connect.

I am with Bigpipe. Yes the ONT and network cable are working as I can get a different router to connect.

Has anyone been able to get this router to connect to fibre?  If so what settings did you need to tweak to get it to work.

Thanks

There will be no issues getting this to work with Bigpipe UFB. Bigpipe doesn't even need VLAN tagging.

is your connection setup for VLAN tagging? if so then you need to find the IPTV settings and set the VID/VLAN to 10

Maybe you should explain what you're setting. Have you followed the guide on the Bigpipe site? I'm rpetty sure they have them for a number of Asus products. There will also be plenty of threads on here for this router as it's been answered a few times.

Bigpipe specify untagged UNNI by default so don't need VLAN tagging.

I have not seen any thread confirming this router works with fibre.  Plenty of people with the rt-ac68u but not the dsl-ac68u.  If I have missed one then could you please link me.

Vlan tagging is now enabled on my account as I wanted to rule that out.

These are the setting I was using with untagged UNNI.

I had dual wan disabled and lan 4 set to the wan.

There is no Vlan setting in the IPTV screen.  There are vlan settings on the wan setup screen and this is set to 10.

Quick update.

I can confirm that the ASUS DSL-AC68U does indeed work with fibre.

Something must not have been updated correctly as I had done multiple factory resets but the last one I did this morning finally worked.

This is with a tagged wan port just encase people are thinking about going with an isp that only does tagged fibre.
