Anyone played with this?

How do you structure the database, ie the columns.

I'd like to see upload/download per IP per hour....as this is the information I can get from my router (I'll be writing something to dump the data into influxdb).

And from that I assume I can assimilate it to by per ip by day/month....and total per hour/day/month.

So I was thinking a table with host, upload, download

Or would a table per host be better?  Seems influxdb is quite different to other dbs.

Data fed via Carbon into whisper database. Then use graphite and Grafana to graph it. Easy as.

Why would I introduce another database type when influxdb and whisper seem to be time series based?  And in terms of getting the information, what is doing that?
