Have a new Netcom NF15ACV. Connected to fibre. Works fine on wired connections but on wireless is really slow to load web pages or apps from phone.

 

Speedtest often times out looking for a server but once it finds one gives ping 32ms then 82 Mbps down and 24 Mbps up. Almost identical to the wired PC.

 

Any thoughts?

Sound like 2.4GHz congestion try changing the channel manually to one thats not so congested

Are you connecting to 5GHz or 2.4GHz?

Yep check the spectrum. 2.4 Ghz or 5Ghz. You want to use 5Ghz where possible, but not all devices may support it, so having it set to dual band is good, I dont know if that device is band steering, but you can at least set up 2 ssid's one for 2.4 and one for 5Ghz and connect the 5Ghz devices to that network, this may help alleviate the stress on the 2.4Ghz devices and they might operate a bit better. 

 

 The cheapest and best thing you can possibly do is consider the location of the unit.

 

1) Is it up high? On a table or shelf, and not shoved in the corner of a house or behind a couch. Sometimes moving it can work wonders.

 

2) Cable in everything that doesnt need to use wireless. Most Smart TV's have ethernet ports as well, and cabling these in is a good idea if it is possible.

 

3) Are you in an inner city apartment or a densely populated area, if you are you may have problems. What sort of range are you expecting?
