I can't for the life of me get the UniFi USG connected to the internet via Bridged mode in the Draytek V120 modem on ADSL. I'm not sure whether I should be using the MPoA settings or just ticking the PPPoE passthrough check box? With the MPoA settings there are a few options to select from including 1483 Bridged IP (VC-MUX), Routed IP (IPoA) etc. If using those settings, what one should I be using?

Just to be sure, the V120 Ethernet cable should connect to the WAN port of the USG, correct?

When I log in to the web interface of the USG (connected to PC via the LAN port), I edit the configuration to select PPPoE, and then enter in the Username and Password for my ISP. However it always says my username and password is incorrect but I know it's not incorrect.

If you have been mucking around then firstly default the unit.

- Log in

- Go to Internet Access, PPPoE/PPPoA Client Mode should be enabled.

- Check the DSL settings... 0/100, VC-MUX, PPPoA

- Check the 'For Wired LAN' box.

- Everything on the right can be left as is

- Connect to USG. Set up PPPoE interface. Win.

Only other thing I started doing was setting MTU to 1492 on the Draytek as I had a few issues with MTU when bridged to Mikrotiks. But only on ADSL. Put it down to the PPPoE/PPPoA translation messing around with things but never really knew exactly.

Edit: Sorry, just to add too. This is assuming you have a "normal" ADSL connection. ADSL connections can be provisioned for PPPoE which would allow you to do proper MPoA bridging like you would with a "normal" VDSL circuit.

Okay, I will try that now. When I connect to USG I have the option to Edit Configuration, then select from three options in the drop down menu: DHCP, Static IP and PPPoE. I select PPPoE and then two boxes will come up, one for username and one for password. That is where I would enter my Slingshot username and password right? With the Slingshot username ending in @slingshot.co.nz.

Hah! After connecting the USG to the internet a few times it said it wasn't working. However waiting a bit, it suddenly connected! WooHoo! I swear I did the exact same thing two hours ago lol.
