In case anyone else requires this with support for newer firmware. There are couple of other threads on geekzone with FW links for older firmware. This is the latest. Big thanks to Mark from Snapper Net for supplying the details and FW 3.8.7.1

This configuration and matching firmware allows the DV130 to sit in front of a firewall/router to creates a layer 2 bridge that inserts a VLAN ID of 10, then strips the VLAN tag when handing traffic back to the router.

This means that the router/firewall behind the DV130 can simply operate as a PPPoE initiator, DHCP or fixed IP address (service provider dependent) without the added hassle of configuring virtual sub interfaces.

Download the ZIP file with config, firmware and simple instructions from here: DV130_Bridge_VDSL_AND_ADSL_EUBA_V3.8.7.1.zip

NOTE: This will bridge VDSL or Enhanced UBA ADSL circuits both of which require a VLAN ID of 10.

There is a slight exception here, There are a few providers who do not support VLAN 10 EUBA PPPoE Connections (ADSL). These providers you will still need to bridge the PPPoA session.

There are multiple config files with instructions in the ZIP folder for the type of connection that you require to load the config for.

Step 2. Upload the appropriate configuration from the CONFIG folder
V130_ADSL_PPPoA_BRIDGE.cfg is for ADSL lines where PPPoA authentication is used.
V130_VDSL_ADSL-EUBA_BRIDGE.cfg is for VDSL with a 802.1q VLAN tag of 10 or EUBA ADSL circuits that also require an 802.1q VLAN tag of 10. Both of these circuit types are PPPoE (ethernet) based.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Why did everyone not just start provisioning their ADSL as 0/110 PPPoE with VLAN 10 once EUBA became a thing?! Would have been so much better long term and simpler modem configs to support too...

..I suppose there is still BUBA out there but these would have become the exception rather than the rule.

Quite honestly, i asked the same question when i didn't have VDSL on one of my lines.

had to do PPPoA on that line because the providers network didnt support it for an ADSL line.

Suppose it makes provisioning ADSL easier, one profile for all.

still.. we do have other providers who allow PPPoA, PPPoE vlan 10 and DHCP vlan 10 all over EUBA since provisioning all the options makes it easy to connect!

Hi Billgates,

Does this config disable the firewall etc on the draytek so that all traffic is passed through to the wan port ie like a fulle bridge ?

I don't have a draytek right now to confirm but I would say so it disables the firewall when you think about that it essentially only becomes a bridge device.
