I have purchased both the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter F8T001 & Bluetooth PC Card F8T002.
I am unable to get these devices to detect other Bluetooth devices and other Bluetooth devices will not detect them.
I have tried this on 2 laptops and 2 desktop computers. Not sure why I am not able to get them to transceive.
I have not had problems with the IBM, Xercom or 3Com devices... what's up with these devices or my other items.
Any suggestions will be more than happy accepted.
In the case you wonder why I have tried so many devices... it's cause I do testing for a cellular communications company... so help would be helping many others that have encountered the same problem.
I have tried the following devices Sony Ericsson T68i, Nokia 6310i, Nokia 3650, Sony Ericsson T616 (testing, not yet available), and even an HP iPAQ 5450.

Much thanks. Cheers,

I can't really imagine what's the fault here... I'm just now talking to Belkin to have some units for review and then I could try and find this. In the meantime: Belkin uses the widcomm stack. Have you changed the Advanced Configuration dialog the Accessibility tab to allow other devices to connect?

I'm not sure what version is in use currently, but the screen dump on the right is from another widcomm based stack, version 1.3.2.7.

Greetings,

I am using the Belkin F8T001 adapter and have successfully discovered my Sony Ericsson T68i phone. That's about as far as I have gotten. I noticed the signal quality is on the weak side even when the phone is within 6ft of the laptop. I also noticed that the connection is dropped after less than a minute. I am not sure why this is happening.

Lastly I cannot seem to get the Ericsson Synch software to talk to the phone via the F8T001. I have a Serial Port identified on the phone and configured on the laptop but the software can never complete the connection. The Ir port works just fine so I know that synching is possible.

I'd be interested in hearing more about these devices.

Cheers
TC
