Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Belkin F8T061 BT headset has the "headset profile" in order to be paired with a PC?

Does the USB BT dongle used on the computer influence things? Should I also gofor a belkin or does it not matter?
(I understand Class 1 may offer better range/obstruction performance).

Thanks
Fil

The headset is good for PC use... But the dongle on the computer's side is going to determine if this can be used or not. Check if the dongle supports the Headset profile. Doesn't have to be Belkin, but I can recommend TDK and Bluetake.

Hi
thanks for the reply to my newbie question...

So will any BT headset work on a pc as long as the dongle supports heatset profile?

I'm havin trouble finding out which usb dongle have headset profile and which don't...

Regarding the TDK (which specifically state to support headset profile) they claim a 250m working range for both the class 1 (+ version) and class 2. Is this acurate?

Do all headsets only work up to 10m? Is it then worth using a 100m or 250m (TDK) adapter?

Thanks for the help

AFAIK all headset are 10m only. Buying the 100m or 250m dongle will not make it better. Most of the new Bluetooth dongles support the headset profile, unless clearly stated otherwise.
