Moved into a new place and ordered a fibre connection. To tide us over until the connection got sorted, I got a Skinny Wireless modem. Now that we have fibre it is "surplus to requirements"
I am wondering if I can set up the skinny modem/router as a wireless access point to improve the WIFI at the other end of the house.
I have followed the standard steps for connecting two routers (disable DHCP, assign a static IP Address) and I have connected via network cable from the new router to the old one.
I can connect to it's admin console from the computer and configure it. But if I try connecting via it's WIFI, there is no internet access.
Has anybody else done this? Is it even possible? Or is the router going to only try and connect to the internet via the 4g network?
