Can anyone point me in the right direction or a way of upgrading my firmware in my Compaq Multiport Bluetooth in an attempt to get it to operate correctly with SP2.

I can get SP2 to recognise it as a Bluetooth radio by adding the PnP code to the CSR group in C:\WINDOWS\inf\bth.inf and it can detect my iPaq, but it cannot send a passkey, at least it thinks it is sending it, but my iPaq never gets the message. My Acer dongle works fine with the iPaw so I guess it is the Multiport and getting an updated firmware, currently 1.14. I understand that somewhere I can find a generic firmware updater. I have found one for TDK here - http://www.tdksystems.com/content.asp?id=13 - however I cannot get it to update however much I hack about the .inf file, even though it appears possible - http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=111358.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

OK, I have got it all working. There seemed to be no requirement to update the firmware, all I had to do, and I really could shoot myself, is to look in "Bluetooth Settings" and allow connection to ALL devices, not just paired devices...

Well, thanks for posting then. Good advice for other users with the same problem. And good it's working now...
