I am trying to set up an Edimax AC 1200 WiFi Access Point to my existing D-Link DSL-2885A router. I have connected the WAN from the router to one of the ethernet ports on the AP and I can now connect to the WiFi using the default password and have internet access.

Now I need to enter the setup to change the default WiFi SSID and password and this is where it all goes downhill.

The instructions are as follows.

1.Make sure your EW-7478APC is connected to your router.
2. Connect your network device to the EW-7478APC Wi-Fi directly.
3. You can login to http://edimax.setup and configure or change operation
mode and settings. Enter http://edimax.setup into the URL bar of a web
browser on a network device which is connected to the EW-7478APC.

When I enter in the URL I get "This site cant be reached. Edimax setup IP address cant be found."

The instructions also say the setup page can be reached at http://192.168.2.1 but this takes me to the web page for my router although I normally access that from 192.168.1.1

I am now totally flummoxed, any assistance gratefully appreciated.
