i am trying to use my ipaq 2215 and motorola V710 to access the internet via verizon quicktonet (which i am told will only cost me verizon minutes). i am trying to use the Bluetooth guide "bluetooth dial up guide for ipaq windows mobile 2003 (GPRS or CDMA)" and a guide "Connecting to the Internet with Bluetooth and the Motorola V710" which i found here:

http://www.bactroid.net/article.php/381

*************************
so based upon these two guides:

my dial up number is #777
username qnc
passwrd qnc
domain vzw3g.com (no quotation marks on any of these, right?)

and in the "extra dialstring modem commands" (im assuming this is the same as a "modem initialization script?) i am using AT$QCMDR=2\13

still no worky. do i need to buy the mobile office kit? is there a different/better initialization script?

thanx!

eddie

I use a dial string on my iPAQ to initialise my connections, but I've never use the AT in front of the string. It seems the Pocket PC will add this when sending the commands to the phone. Want to try without it?

if i understood you correctly: keep everthing the same, but delete the AT from my dialstring. still no luck (messages says "cannot connect for an unknown reason...)

i also noticed that even though i enter qnc as my password, when i look at my settings again, the pasword field now has 17 stars instead of 3 (not sure if this helps w/the troubleshooting..but thought i'd mention it...)

Hello! I know it's late... Not sure if you have this solved yet, but just a note. I'm now reading the page for something else and noticed the string AT$QCMDR=2\13... As it is it will not work, but I think \13 means simply Carriage Return. In other words, enter the string as AT$QCMDR=2 only.
