OK, got a Cambium e410 wireless AP (free to test).

I've connected, light is blue and portal says 'onboarded'.

But where do I go from here?

Sorry, I'm completely new to AP's.

Am I using the AP to connect to the internet or do I still use the wireless router?

Do I use the WiFi from both?

Does the AP have a different SSID to the router?

I know, lots of stupid questions, but I find that the manual doesn't contain a lot of info.

Simple way for least problems - disable he inbuilt WiFi on your router. And only use the AP for Wifi. Assuming it is setup right, you will then have WiFi internet access via the AP.

The router will simply think that your WiFi devices are now Ethernet devices. Some Netcomm routers have problems running inbuilt WiFi and a separate AP at the same time.

I did log in to my router and switched off the WIFI. That resulted in no internet at all. I couldn't even log in to the router again, although I connected my laptop to the router via Ethernet cable. I had to reset the router, for internet to work again.

Finally, managed to get it to work.

Was a few things in the settings, which I'd missed.

Hadn't attached the device to an actual AP group.
