Hi all -

I had to factory reset my Fritz box today and the auto configuration failed from 2degrees for some reason. I've set everything up correctly but I've noticed now that some websites are blocked for some reason. For example I was wanting to look up a MAC address and Googled 'MAC address lookup' and the first result was https://macvendors.com. Visiting this on my computer throws up a "site cannot be reached" (ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT), pinging the site times out but visiting the site on my phone which is also with 2degrees but on 4G allows me to see the site.

So clearly the modem is configured incorrectly and I'm guessing something to do with DNS?

Another weird examnple: I just Googled "2degrees DNS" and while this page works: https://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/help-and-support/broadband-and-landline/your-modem/set-up/ , the link below the video where it says "See more" doesn't.

What the hell!

Cannot access GitHub either, I'm sure there's more.

Have you done a DNS flush on your PC / Mac ?

Yup. Flushed DNS, rebooted and also the same on my phone (when connected over WiFi, as I mentioned no issue when connected over 4G).

Run a ping/traceroute to those sites.

Ahhh, 2degrees seem to be having an issue this evening - just got off the phone with them.

I did notice my connection bouncing a little tonight. Not sure what the cause was but appears to be stable now.

This does sound like a MTU issue to me though.
