Hi everyone,

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

My boss has poor sight, and so he has purchased a 55inch touchscreen monitor which is connected to his Windows 10 laptop via usb and HDMI cables. He would like to be able to connect wirelessly to the touchscreen and use all its touchscreen goodness. He has a MS wireless display adapter which works fine for extending his desktop to the touchscreen, but seems he would need some sort of usb transmitter/receiver for the touchscreen features....?

Has anyone come across this before and found a solution? I initially found this product, but not many places stock it and any reviews I've found are poor:

Appreciate any help or thoughts.

Cheers,

Shane

What do you mean "connect wirelessly to the touchscreen" ?

Is the touchscreen portable like a tablet? Or does he want to be able to use it without having to dock the laptop in one place?

Another option is to remote desktop to the laptop, via a NUC attached to touchscreen or an all-in-one.

Yes, the screen is portable - he's had it mounted on a stand with wheels and ideally will move it around.

Basically, he just wants to be able to use the monitor to draw/write on, without it being physically connected to his laptop, say 10 feet away. essentially what the guy in the youtube link was doing.

Assuming you have windows 10 and a touch screen that supports miracasting directly, it should work pretty senselessly.

I love the ease of using the surface hubs, wirelessly connect, and it's all there and working.

none of this do i have a vga port... oh this only is hdmi, is the resolution correct so your not making all your viewers stab their eyes out...

I have not really seen many decent dongles that do both touch and video natively.

Its a surfacebook which I believe has miracasting, but the touchscreen is a Dell 55in which I don't think does:

Does he have the Dell wireless module?
