i have just added an IP150 4.30 module to my MG5050 4.72 and it is communicating ok through Insite gold & Babyware 5.25, but i cannot access the latest firmware updates through Babyware to update them both. I have searched for a site to download the firmware updates manually, but had no luck

Is there a better way to update the firmware than i am trying, or does anyone know where the latest FW can be downloaded from?

Thanks

Through your installer.

Paradox don't deal with end users...they actively discourage talking to them, and don't like the idea of self monitoring.  They want to funnel all traffic through their insite gold.

Our installer is also our monitoring company! Makes it difficult, but i suppose i could get a service done and the F/W updated the same time

If there a problem that requires the firmware being updated?  Though if you are using insite gold, and therefore their 'cloud' then the latest with all the security updates is probably reason enough.

Me I stay on 1.36 firmware...as with later versions they've kill the ability to locally integrate via the software port.  But I also don't expose my alarm to the internet (monitor via openhab/home assistant and homekit).

I've got the 4.30 IP150 so locked in to Insite Gold, and yes the reason is for security. With regard to the panel, i'm not sure if the update is really needed, but i can only access the IP150 settings through the IP address, so i think later firmware might address this also

4.3 looks to be the latest for the ip150 as for the MG5050 looks like their is an update for that 4.96.

you wont be able to get the firmware file unless u know some one that has access to it, and i also agree to stay on v1.39 for the IP150 as  v4 upwards they remove the email notification settings
