Hi There

I use the computer room for all my network termination points , with a 16 port switch under the desk , I soon will have Fiber in the house , and ONT will be in the computer room , as that IS the best solution , and the "computer room".

Whilst I dont think I need  a comms cabient , maybe a large board on the wall technique with gear bolted vertically.

P.S I will be putting a double gang powerpoint in , as ONT will have its own powerpoint.

I,m open to ideas/what you guys have .. some ideas would be great to spur some inspriation into me :)

Thanks for any replys.

Regards Rhysee

ahhh my eyes !!!!!!!!!

some loop fasteners to cable manage the cable (like velcro), a cheap under desk cable tray and if you really wanted a cable box to hide the power strips would do wonders to that setup without over complicating things

I had no where near as much management to do as you have but tidied up under my desk exceptionally well

Hi, looking at the power point I suggest the house is from the 70s-80s so by modern standads old school, and as such framing will be standard 90mm or there abouts, so an inwall cabinet will be just fine.

Probably the tallest cabinet you can do will be a 20" (approx 560mm high) but depending on the free height under the desk a 28" (725mm) might fit, obviously the bigger the better. That said a ONT, 8port patch panel, power outlet, router and 8 port switch (you might get that 16port in there) will fit a 20" just fine.

I concur with this recommendation. Also, make sure the wiring you have into the room is good enough for ALL THOSE BLINKIN plugs... and possibly something to take hot air away.
