Being a total greenie I'm having difficulty setting up the unit in another part of the house. It was connected to the modem (Huawei569b) by ethernet cable but I now need it as wifi. Issue is the settings won't allow me to change from ethernet! Normally you'd click and select Ethernet or WiFi but for some weird reason it's stuck on ethernet!!

Clearly I'm a useless old bloke in my 80's so would appreciate your help please.

I have no experience with an X-1000HD, but I have met devices that will not give you the WiFi option if there is still an Ethernet cable plugged into them.

Thank you. I'll have to figure out which one it is on the devices listed on the modem (there are 3 and none connected to ethernet)

then delete it...........maybe will do it?
