I was enjoying the nice bridge connection the airFiber 5XHD's were providing. But now someone (?) or something (I can only guess) in the neighborhood/near the location of the fiber connection in town, has created is a real nice hot spot in the spectrum. The red area when I hover over them is 72dBm to 74dBm as I cross over them.

I hope when I change the town side dish to af-5g30-s45 this will curb this interference. Or maybe eventually...where ever it is coming from will stop.

Is it possible I am creating this hot spot somehow?

Hi, as you are aware, its a free band available to all a sundry so this should not be unexpected. I realise you want near Gig performance, but in the process of doing that you are hogging a fair bit of spectrum, as a result you have left little bandwidth for other users.

Just trying to make sure I am not causing the hot spot. I just got off the phone with some tech support and even they were a bit aghast when I said 72dBm. And thought someone was running really hot....perhaps higher than EIRP recommendations.

Interestingly enough....seems to be gone now. Weird...

Well..if I could find a way to overclock these things I would! j/k!

I'm only "hogging" it while it is there to use. ;)
