I have been on spark's wireless broadband until fibre was installed at our place. I now have the Huawei B618 wireless 4G router sitting here not being used.

I was wondering if i can just put any sim card (with mobile data) in it and use it for weekend trips out of town?

Is it locked to spark network only?

Thanks!

You should be able to put any SIM card in. You may have to create an APN profile though.
